Questions
Questions we hear most
Do you take my insurance?
The desk checks your dental and medical benefits before your first visit and tells you what it found. How fees work is on its own page, with the plan types we bill.
What if I don't have insurance?
You get a written estimate before any treatment. Financing is offered by third-party lenders. Approval and terms are set by the lender.
Do you accept Medicaid or CHIP?
We say plainly, before you book, whether we take your plan. Ask the desk when you call.
Will it hurt?
The area is always numbed first, and you can ask for a break at any time. We can't promise you won't feel anything. The surgeon explains the other levels of comfort.
Do I need new X-rays or a scan?
Your dentist's images may be enough. The surgeon decides whether we need our own.
Do you do cleanings and fillings?
No. Cleanings, exams, fillings and crowns stay with your own dentist. We operate and write back.
Do you see children?
Wisdom tooth visits often start in the teens, and a parent or guardian comes with anyone under 18. For younger children, call the desk.
What counts as an emergency, and what should I do first?
A serious injury, trouble breathing or swallowing, or swelling that spreads toward the eye or neck needs 911 or an emergency room. Our urgent page has the rest.
Do you offer sedation, and who gives it?
Yes. Your surgeon gives IV sedation and general anesthesia, with a trained assistant who watches you. The anesthesia page has the details.
Can I get a written estimate before treatment?
Yes. Ask at scheduling or at the consultation. We give you one in writing before any treatment.
Do you speak Spanish?
Dr. Mayorga speaks Spanish with patients who prefer it. Ask the desk to book a visit with her.
How do I cancel or change a visit?
Call the desk as soon as you know. For a surgery day, please call as early as you can so the time can go to someone else.
Send a patient, or ask for a visit
Dentists and physicians use the secure referral link. Patients can write to the desk or call.
