Oral and maxillofacial surgery · Jackson, Mississippi
Three surgeons see patients referred by dentists and physicians. You send the referral through a secure link, the desk calls the patient, and we write back to your office after the visit.

The referral desk
The link opens the practice's own secure form. Patient details, scans and notes go in there, and none of it is typed into this website. A person at the desk then calls the patient to book.
Surgeon by service
Name a surgeon on the referral, or leave it to the desk. Operates means the surgeon leads the operation. Assists means the surgeon joins a colleague's case.

After you refer
Through the secure link: who the patient is, what you would like us to look at, and any scans. Nothing clinical goes through this website.
A person from the desk calls to book the first visit and says what to bring.
At the first visit the surgeon reviews the scan, explains the options and the risks, and gives a written estimate. The patient decides.
After the visit, and after any surgery, we write to the referring office. The patient returns to you for restorative work or the next check.
If you were referred
The first visit is a consultation, not an operation.
The surgeon reviews your scan with you, explains what each option involves and what could go wrong, and gives you a written estimate to take home. You decide when you are ready, and your dentist stays your dentist.
Your health history goes in the patient portal, not this site
A written estimate before any treatment
A note sent to the office that referred you

Trauma and urgent visits
A serious injury needs an emergency room. For anything else that can't wait, call the desk.
A broken jaw, a serious facial injury, trouble breathing or swallowing, swelling that spreads toward the eye or neck, or bleeding that won't stop.
A tooth knocked out or broken, or a problem after surgery here. We make room for urgent visits when we can, and tell you plainly when we can't.
A referral is for a visit that can be planned. It is not a way to reach us in an emergency.
